We have always done a Pre-birthday photoshoot. Partly because I need some fresh new birthday shots for her custom invitations, but mostly it’s because I secretly revel in the last few weeks, and days of her current year. This year she leaves 4 behind, really soon, and I’m just amazed at how much she’s growing, and saddened by how fast it’s happening. Wishing that I can have some parenting re-do’s, or wanting to have cherished more of the times. But every year, as life would have it, I can’t and I won’t.

So, when she makes her wish in approximately 2 weeks or so, I’ll be wishing right there beside her. Wishing, that I get it right this year, wishing that I’ll slow down and cherish her more, and Praying that God will allow me and have me to be the best mommy I can be.

Soon we say good bye to 4 and hello to 5. Yes, we welcome you 5 with open arms, but 4, you will not be forgotten!!!!

This woman is no ordinary woman. She’s actually quite remarkable. What makes her so amazing is that she doesn’t even see herself like others see her. Like “so nice” (though some may say too nice in some situations) or “caring” and “loving”. Really she has a true sense of genuineness about her humble self that speaks volumes to the person that I wish I could sometimes mimic when it comes to people and dealing with them, and interacting with them. There’s something to be said about a good wholesome person that TRULY means well, and tries her hardest to do the right thing.

She’s Cheiko, OUR Cheiko!!!

and she’s pregnant!again.

I was so excited to go to her house and photograph her GORGEOUS family. She however, was a little (maybe a lot) nervous. She has always been so welcoming, but this time when I went to her house alone, and she opened the door, her face dropped when she saw me! Because I didn’t have my little one. Then, her little one….

came running to the door and the first thing she did was ask for my little one too and when she saw I didn’t bring her, she went running off down the hall. It’s these reactions that make me love them even more. You see Cheiko (the name that’s probably mentioned in our house everysingleday) has taken care of our little girl since she was 4 months old. So that’s why we call her OUR Cheiko (all though Jada would argue that she’s HERs, all hers).

But no, I didn’t bring her with me. I was there for a completely different reason this time. For them, to photograph them. And it was really all MY PLEASURE. So without further ado, I introduce you to our friends, our sometimes (maybe more than she’d like) life saver, Cheiko (OUR Cheiko) and her family….

Sometimes we get so caught up in life’s busy-ness. I mean I know that I do. So much goes on around us and sometimes I feel like I’m just floating through, letting important moments pass me by. Well, There are those times where you are forced to slow down and take a breath and actually have to give thanks for the many blessings upon you. Many things cause these great forced moments, and I have to say that this little face here, is one of the things that definitely does it for me.

 
  
He’s as adorable as they come, and he takes my breath away everytime I see him, his face, his smile. I can’t wait to see you again baby D. Can’t wait. I love going outside for what has become to be called "mini shoots" with my baby girl. She really knows how to brighten your day, even on the most cold, dark, rainy, dreary days. She says the most innocent things that brings positivity and happiness to your heart. Like, "Hey the rain stopped, I wonder if there's a rainbow outside." Or, my favorite… "let's go out and do a mini shoot" where she poses and plays and is so carefree. I love photographing her and happy that I have HER to photograph.

Soooo here is a couple that makes the camera want to keep shooting and shooting. It was so much fun with these two and they were really into the photo shoot. Here is just a quick sneak peek.

This grandmother wanted some shots of her grandkids and really wasn't sure that anything was produced after seeing the kids run around the yard and me chasing them snapping away. She really wanted some "nice" pictures for her daughter to have of her children. Well, I hope I was able to accomplish that for you….

We get so caught up in the day to day of providing for our children that sometime's we really don't know if all that we do and all  that we feel for them is ever felt by them. Well, all it takes sometimes is the capturing of memories for those moments to be portrayed across their faces and well, us mother's faces too. This family showed it so dearly…

This mom wanted to capture some shots of she and her beautiful adorable baby girl. I was more than happy to photograph them and when I saw how super cute this little one was, it made it that much more thrilling!

This grandmother wanted to take photos with her grandchildren. While taking these pictures I could just see the love in this loving grandmother's eyes for her little babies. It was so sweet.
